Particularly of significance is the epilogue, where a friend recognizes the value of true friendship and a kindred soul. Realizing she is not alone in this mystical place, she and other spirits connect and move through the significant happenings from life to discover what the “Universe wants me to understand:” to accept how things are, why they are, to rediscover love and move to Everafter. Objects she once lost: a hair clip, a baby rattle, an earring, her boyfriend’s sweatshirt… Traveling back through time to the various places and events where the items were lost, she becomes aware of how each has shaped her into the person had become. She is grateful for their enthusiasm and fresh approach to life. She loves working with teenagers, both as a writer and a teacher.
